About me

I’m a Pitt graduate student a the School of Information Science.   I have two personal websites at the University.  This is the site I created for my Intro to Information Science class, entitled Jeff Smith’s Webpage.  My second link is for my Web Technologies and Standards class entitled Jeff Smith’s Corner of Cyberspace.  I am a Premium Support Manager at IBM. I enjoy movies, music, sports, and cooking. I guess my passion as of late, technologically speaking, has been Social Software. I am very much fascinated and participate in a community at work around Social Networking Analysis. It is led by two researchers and it is very fascinating. Well, I hope you find something you like here and enjoy following my educational journey. It certainly poses many challenges around work/life/school balance but I’m very fortunate to have this opportunity and seek to exploit this fortuitous circumstance.
